Thanks for this info - especially the part about the fake Windows Security Center. Other sites that told how to remove Antivirus 2009 didn't have this as one of the things to remove!
OMG!! It's almost 3:am and I was just about reformat my drive, I have been trying to remove both the IE and the Vist Virus'. I got them at the exact same time, not sure if there is a difference. Anyway, can't thank you enough, have been messin' with this since about 5 pm. Can't believe it was that simple. Thank you, thank you, thank you, YOU are awesome.

Thanks for the vista info. I am printing it as I type. This thing hass veen driving me nuts! Pops up all the time. I can kill it by clicking close on task bar but it keeps coming back. I'm not skilled enough to go into the regestry so I'll have someone else do it.

hi mudit...i jus removed the antivirus xp 2008 from my system by the way u had prescribed..thanx a lot for the awesome work ur doing..im now faced with another problem..my laptop keeps restarting and does so on a continuous loop till i either switch off and switch on my laptop or press esc...and i get these error messages on blue screen that im not able to understand..pls can u help me get rid of this problem..my mail id is mailvjay@gmail.com.. i'll also b checking ur blog..it'll b great if u cud help..thanx
Thanks for the help bud,1 thing the thing that helped me ( the only thing) was the task manager part coz i already deleted the prgram files av2009 files. so thanks very much i no longer see those FAKE 2009 anti-virus scams anymore. thanks alot bud now i can rest easier at night. ;-)

Hello, hope you are fine! I sure could use a little help from someone who is highly intellegent and kind (i.e. you!) When I start my computer there is always a ??Found New Hardware Wizard (block)that comes up I dont know how to make go away for good. It says "install PCI Simple Comm. Controller" (i tried installing it and it used up a huge amount of MB (that scared me) I wonder if you can tell I'm sort of computer wise? anyway You helped me once get rid of Virus2009 It was Magic!

Thank you for having this website blog availible. It is very helpful, however, I do not see the virus I have in my computer. I have Spyware Cleaner Tool, which shows up as fraud.xpantivirus. I believe it is also antivirus 2009. I cleaned up the "WARNING" desktop pic, and I also took out most of the other stuff. THe only thiong that is still left there is the balloon stating "Warning! Security Report
(some stuff here...) It is recomended to install Spyware Cleaner Tool." I also have posted a Q on Yahoo Answers. MY user is Maizy Star, so you can fidn it there. I really need your help on this, otherwise I have to debug my XP. Along time ago, we used your help with Antivirus 2008, now we need help with Antivirus 2009! Also, Virtumonde was the virus we got about 10 days before this one.
